What the Boutiq Switch V4 is
The Boutiq Switch V4 is the fourth generation of the brand’s flagship disposable line. It upgraded the hardware from the V3 by adding a digital LED display, a larger 1200 mAh battery engineered to outlast the 2 grams of oil, and user-adjustable voltage settings.
Like other Switch models, the V4 holds two separate strain chambers. Users can press the switch button to toggle between the two tanks or hold it to combine both for a custom blended hit. The device is draw-activated but relies on button presses for power cycling, voltage adjustments, and tank switching.
[FIRST-HAND: describe the physical finish of the Glow Edition under standard light versus UV light or sunlight, and note the responsiveness of the LED screen when the button is pressed.]
Boutiq Switch V4 specifications
The V4’s headline addition is the LED display, which tracks battery percentage, oil level, and the blinker counter in real time. This solved a major pain point from the V3, where users had to guess how much oil remained.
The 1200 mAh battery is a significant upgrade over previous generations, ensuring the device does not die before the thick live-resin oil is fully consumed. Because every Boutiq device is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion cell, follow established lithium-ion battery safety guidance and never open, puncture, or heat the battery housing.
The Boutiq V4 Glow Edition
The most searched variant of this generation is the Boutiq V4 Glow (also searched as boutiq glow switch, glow boutiq, or boutique glow).
The Glow Edition refers to a specific hardware finish that features glow-in-the-dark elements on the device’s exterior. It is a visual and aesthetic variant, not a change to the internal heating mechanism or oil capacity. A Glow Edition V4 holds the same 2 grams of oil and uses the same 1200 mAh battery as the standard V4. If you are purchasing a Glow Edition, verify the packaging markers against our Real vs. Fake guide, as counterfeiters frequently replicate the glow finish on fake hardware.
Boutiq V4 Disposable vs. Carts
Search intent for the V4 often splits between the disposable device and cartridges.
- Boutiq V4 Disposable: This is the primary hardware format for the V4 generation. It is an all-in-one unit containing the battery, screen, and two 1-gram oil chambers.
- Boutiq V4 Cart: The V4 is fundamentally a disposable platform. When users search for a “Boutiq V4 cart,” they are usually looking for 510-threaded cartridges that use the same V4-era live diamond formulations, or they are confusing the disposable with a standard cartridge. For 510-threaded options, see the Carts Hub and the Switch Carts page.
How the V4 differs from the V5 and V3
The V4 sits between the basic V3 and the triple-chamber V5. The table below compares the three most common generations.
Feature | Boutiq Switch V3 | Boutiq Switch V4 | Boutiq Switch V5 |
|---|---|---|---|
Tanks | 2 chambers | 2 chambers | 3 chambers |
Capacity | 2 g | 2 g | 2 g |
Battery | USB-C (~40g weight) | 1200 mAh USB-C | Higher capacity than V4 [VERIFY] |
Voltage | Fixed (with preheat) | Adjustable | Adjustable |
Display | None | LED (Battery, Oil, Blinkers) | LED / Indicator |
Signature Feature | Ceramic coils | Glow Edition, Screen | Infinity Mode |
The full V1-through-V6 comparison lives on the Switch Hub. If you are deciding between the V4 and the V5, the V5 adds a third chamber and Infinity Mode, while the V4 remains a favorite for users who prefer a simpler dual-strain blend.
Flavors and strain options
The Boutiq Switch V4 ships with dual-chamber flavor combinations. The complete V4 strain list—including which strains are paired together in each unit—is on the V4 Flavors page. We describe strain classification only and make no claims about effects.

Common problems
The most common V4 issues involve the LED screen freezing, the device not hitting despite showing battery life, or clogged airways in cold environments. The Troubleshooting page walks through each fix in order, cheapest and safest first.
If your V4 blinks continuously without producing vapor, check the Blinkers guide to decode the specific fault pattern.
How to check yours is genuine
The V4 Glow Edition is heavily counterfeited. Verify the packaging before use. Check the batch code format, QR behaviour, and print quality against the Real vs. Fake guide. We could not verify any V4 stock as counterfeit-free on the secondary market, so treat unverified sellers as high risk.
Where to buy
Pricing varies by retailer and edition. The Pricing Guide tracks what buyers actually pay for the V4 and other generations, and the Where to Buy page lists retail channels. We do not publish legality advice for any jurisdiction; see the Legal Compliance page for how restrictions are handled.
